Jonathan Harris designs
5 August 2008. Tagged Professional, portfolio, works
After nearly a year of talk about it, I have finally rebuilt Jonathandavidharris.co.uk. I started designing site when I was about 15 years old and enjoyed it ever since. I decided that I could make some money of the part time hobby and decided to setup a business out of it. Doing a degree in a related subject means that I am well suited to sort out web hosting, setting up server and writing server scripts. Jonathandavidharris.co.uk is a promotional web site for anyone who wishes to hire me as a web designer/developer. It has information on about me as a Professional, contact details and a full detailed list of projects I have completed before in the portfolio.
The bits I most like about page, which divides all it’s information into bullet fast loading tabs and has a nice fadeout effect on changing of tabs. This site is the most pride of this as it was in plan for nearly a year and it now finally finished. It was also built completely from the ground up by me.
So I have to requests of readers of this post.

I’m blu

There are few times in my life that I see something and my breath is taken away. I am massive fan of art but like many of us, I don’t have the time to go to galleries enough. Luckier enough, while watching diggnation, I saw a video that simply was amazed. The video is truly impressive, as it is seven minutes long animation. The animation was made by painting an image on a wall, taking a picture, repainting the wall and taking another picture. Consudering that for each second of film there could be as many as 26 frames, that is a lot of pictures. Even if they painted only 13 images a second, that could be as many as 5460 painting.
The video was by a morden artist called blu. Blu it turns out is a big deal in the art world and is famous for coming his images on public spaces on walls. Looking at his blog, I found he also did a massive painting on the side of the tate modern. I really enjoyed this painting, I look forward to seeing more from this artist.
Keeping myself busy

Every time I write a blog on here, I always feel guilty for not having the time to write more on this blog. In truth I have too much going on in my life at the moment to keep a truly up to date blog. I also find that lots of the things I want to blog about feel a bit pointless. There are so many blogs out there, so what is the point of rewriting stuff that someone has already written like so many others. As I am keeping myself so busy, what have I been doing?
Well of course, I have had university work to do; I am working on my second year of my degree at the moment so I have had lots to do there. I created a couple of pieces of work that I was extremely proud of. For one of modules, I had to write a Java program which was a massive undertaking. The Java program was a simple piece of network mapping software. It worked out amazing; I can’t say I have been more proud of anything, work wise, than this. Check out a screenshot of it in action on my Flickr account.
