Version 4 finally came out of beta and ready for prime time. This removed lots of stuff that simply wasn’t being used and put the focus back on the blog. It has a brand new clean look and a much better commenting system.

Setup my facebook profile to automatically converts everything I post my blog as notes. This means that my blog can be read from directly within Facebook and means my writings and rants get more eye balls on them.
Removed Status updates + Photo gallery

After extremely slow load times of up to 36 second per page on the gallery and the status updates making things in worst, I decided to go for functionally over features.

The new feature which I am currently testing at the moment appears on the right hand sidebar, under the heading, My status. It adds a personal touch to the site and adds a new element to page.
New Photo gallery

Spacedmonkey now has a image gallery. All the images in the photo gallery are hosted on my Flickr account which I have been updating weekly for nearly a year. It means that you can browser the many images without worrying about bandwidth limits. This is all made possible by a lovely plugin called
Flickr Photo Album for WordPress.
Revamp

Added the new works section, which were long writtings, images and projects that didn’t have a place in blog posts.An update to the design, meant a sexy new look and improved submission to del.icio.us and Digg. A dynamic archive/sitemap page, list of all the posts and static pages.
Changing host
1st February 2007
After my site was taken down and replaced with the terrorist message, I was so madden about this that I changed hosts within an hour. I changed from the extremely poor, slow and over priced Easyspace another host called Media Temple.Media Temple gave me the freedom to host my own images and expand the site as never before.
Getting rid of Spam
18th January 2007
After months of spending hours getting rid of all the spam in my comments, I decided to do something about it. I had it harder to spam the site by updating to wordpress 2.1 and installing a couple of anti spam plug-ins.
