Welcome to Spacedmonkey.co.uk, a blog site that has a strong philosophy of creating high quality internet content. The site’s creator Jonathan Harris can be quoted saying, “I wanted to make a site that I would enjoy viewing”. The site primarily a blog that has many different focuses but has two focuses. To write, well thought out, entertaining blogs that are useful. The other is to highlight some of the more fun part of the internet and create interesting blogs.
The site is now on it’s third version with a serious revamp with lots of nice things being added, like updating RSS feeds and search plug-in. To feedback on the site, about a posts you liked, any improvements that could be made, content you wished to be removed or any problems you have had with the site, either fill out the contact form. About me
I’m Jonathan Harris is a 19 year old BSc Network management and design student at University of Portsmouths. I created the site for a bit of fun and hopefully to learn something about web design and html but I enjoyed making it so much, I doubt if I will it will ever be finished. There will always be updates and new things added. I will always make time for charity work and have experience volunteering in the past. My hobbies include Web design, Photography, Movies, TV and swimming. More about me;-

What CMS does this site use?
The site uses a blogging system called wordpress and it allows for a very flexible management of pages. This CMS uses MySql and PHP to generate a post/page content around a static theme. It also allows for easy searching of posts and automatic genration of RSS feed.
Who Hosts this site?
This site is hosted by a company called (mt) Media Temple. This site uses the (gs) Grid-Server which is a completely new hosting service that replaces yesterday�s obsolete shared server technology. It allows for multiple sites to be hosted on the same account and it also hosts the technology blog, Computing corner and my personal site, Jonathanharris.me.uk.
How was this site designed?
This site was designed in the wonderful web design package from Macromedia called Dreamweaver 8. Also to edit all the pictures, Fireworks 8 was used. All the administration and testing is done in the world’s best web browser Firefox.
How long does has this site been running?
The site was started truly in March of 2006. I had the idea for the web site for ages but didn’t know have the know how to create it. It has changed lots from the first design, which used static html files to this massive blog. Hope the site continues to go strong.
