Creative writting

As a student of portsmouth uni, I am asked to many different weird things. The other day I was asked to write, in a technical style, how to do I simple task of my choosing. To stop people completely going off on one for 20 pages, we were limited to 250 to 500 words. The idea was to be about to write, in a style, that is state forward and understandable, but not to waffle on for pages and pages. Understandable task. Many other people in my group, did things like installing a network card or changing oil in your car, stuff like that. I decided to go a different direction. So here it is, the final version, of my very silly assignment. Oh god, what have I done!
I wonder what mark I will get….

How to make the perfect toasted peanut butter sandwich

Equipment:-

Make sure that you have everything on equipment list before starting process. Wash and dry hands before handling bread.

Step one:
Place two pre-sliced pieces of bread into toaster. Set toaster’s dial to medium setting, to set duration that beard will be cooked. To activate, press down and hold for two seconds, the button on side of toaster, next to dial.

Step two:
Supervise bread in toaster and check that the bread has not burnt. Wait until the toaster’s timer ends and pieces of bread are ejected. The toasted bread should be lightly browned, if this is not so, repeat steps one, with a lower setting. When bread is toasted a suitable amount (lightly browned), then take out of toaster and place on bread board.

Step three:
Remove lid from jar of peanut butter and place on nearby surface. Plunge knife into jar and move around until knife until is coated. Using the knife, spread a thin layer across one surface of one slice of bread. After covering the first slice, then put knife back in jar, recoat, remove and cover one face of second slice of peanut butter. Replace lid on jar.

Step four:
After both slices have a thin layer of peanut butter on surface, pick up one of the pieces of toast, turn upside down, so that the unbuttered side is facing the sky. Place over other slice and line up top piece with bottom piece so that is completely covering it. Slowly lower the top slice down onto the bottom. Apply slight pressure with the palm of your hand to top slice to make sure that the peanut butter on both slices has merged, adhering the two slices together.

Step five:
Using a bread knife, cut the sandwich in half by cutting down the center horizontally. Place both halves of sandwich on plate.
