Stargate fanart

22 August 2006. Tagged images

The first of the blogs in the new category images. I am personally not a massive fan of fanart. I think it is nerdy and the people that make it need to get out some more. But looking at Stargateworld web site’s contept art, I was truely shocked. This is kind of art I can get my teeth into. Good use of colour and amazing scale. I uploaded some of the best on flikcr. Check them out!

Changes to the site

21 August 2006. Tagged updates

You may have notice that their have been no new content blog in the last couple of weeks. Well it has been a busy time for me. It was time to do some rethinking of the site and what kind of content I wish it to contain. I orignal idea behind the site was of two different blogs on the same site. One of the world of computers, including reviews and other stuff. The other was the interesting internet content I created/found. Both blogs were to be kept in different apart from on another. But no more. From this point on, both are to be mergered. It is to stop confusion people, well some anyway.

Also this will mean many more sub ccateroies and it will be much easier to find content when search. This will also mean that the rss feeds will be merged. So forget about the Computer feed and just use, the main feed.
Also one the need leading caterories will be the new, Images cateroy. This will be of anything to do with images, funny stuff or interesting images. All will be hosted on my flickr account, as I have paid for a pro, I may as well use what that means. Also, I may do some slight changes to the way the site looks. For example, the top bar now changes design at random.
There will a few other things I plan to change.

Hopefully the quality of the blogs will get better as I learn more about the whole blog thing.

Blogs that I plan to write

  1. Podcasting
  2. DNS problems
  3. Setting up PHPB2
  4. Zune
  5. Windows Sideshow
  6. Personal web sites
  7. free web space
  8. Domains
  9. .htaccess
  10. robot.txt
  11. Cool mods

Keep on rocking eveyone

BMW FILMS web siteAs I have said before I have surrport the groups of people that make short movies. I think that is far harder to make a good short movie than a great normal movie. The films that really did get me into the the whole short movie thing was the BMW films. As I have said before I have surrport the groups of people that make short movies. I think that is far harder to make a good short movie than a great movie. The films that really did get me into the the whole short movie thing was the BMW films.

The BMW film series The Hire began as a series of five short films (each about eight minutes long) produced for the Internet in summer 2001. The films were directed by popular and aspiring directors. All starred Clive Owen as “The Driver”.

The BMW site describes them as

BMW?s groundbreaking The Hire film series ignored conventions and created the phenomenon known as online films. The Web has never been the same since. These eight short films by critically acclaimed Hollywood directors effectively revolutionized the world of interactive entertainment, while showcasing the absolute limits of automotive high-performance exclusive to BMW. Over 100 million film views and numerous awards later, The Hire film series served as further proof that when it comes to innovation and technology, BMW has always been ahead of its time.

What ever they are really good will help to fill any free time you may have. The videos are in some kind of order, best to worst but it has been a while since I have watched some of them. The videos are powered by google videos

Enjoy the movies!!!

Start a war

Static X

When Static-x release their fourth studio album, Start a War February, 2005 I was amazed, it really rocked. But after Tripp Eisen was arrested in a sex scandal involving minors and thought that was in the of Static-X. Start a War was finally released June 14, 2005.

The static-x site, http://static-x.com/ is really nice site. It has lots of free music and couple of their videos. Static-x is note every’s taste, it is what many would call heavy but if you give the a change you may learn to love them.

The band is now preparing for creation of new record which they plan to work on in Autumn 2006. New album should be available in the first half of next year. It is said that new album is going to be heavier than anything Static-X has already done. The ablum Star a war is can still be bought from amazon. Watch the video for “I’m the one” on Youtube. Remember to check out thier web site.

Stuck In my head

8 August 2006. Tagged music

Album coverQueens of the stone age is an amazing band. They went away for a while, 2003 to 2005 and came back with the amazing album. Most people only know the song, little sister from this album through, which is a real shame as there was some really good tunes on there . Personally I think that song “In my head” (which was released after little sister) is the best song from the album, but was completely forgotton after the success of the first single. It is a good song and the video is very interesting. This song has been in my head, (mind the pun) for the last couple of days and I was reminded of it by chance by something that was said to me. I would share this great song with others. The video can be displayed in full screen and thanks to the nice people youtube for hosting it.

Queens of the stone age is now writting a new album which I know is going to rock. Hope you enjoy the song. Both the album and single are still avalible on Amazon.co.uk.

Beck- Hell yes

7 August 2006. Tagged music

This song was a personal fav of mine for a long time. Beck’s video for the song, Hell yes, is a robot rocking music video for the artist’s that had such hits as loosers and lost cause. This video really is enjoyable, it features robots dancing in patterns. It may seem a little silly at the start it is pretty cool. The video can be found on Beck’s website and on the ever popular you tube.

You can also click on link below to open the flash video full screen in a new window.
